Emma Reynolds, Labour Member of Parliament for Wolverhampton North East, has welcomed the recently revealed designs for a new state-of-the-art railway station in Wolverhampton. The new station forms part of a £120 million investment in the Wolverhampton Interchange project, which includes new car parking and commercial facilities and the extension of the Midland Metro to the station.

Emma said “These new designs really bring the potential new station to life. Wolverhampton will finally get the station it deserves, with a much improved ticket office, greater café and recreational facilities and a larger passenger concourse. Commuters, residents and visitors to Wolverhampton will find using the station a far more pleasant experience.”

“I have been campaigning for a new railway station in Wolverhampton since I was elected in 2010, and this progress is good news. This investment in the Wolverhampton Interchange is bringing companies and jobs to Wolverhampton, with the new i10 office and retail block near the station already a great success.”
