Emma Reynolds, Labour MP for Wolverhampton North East, attended the Remembrance Sunday march and service at St Thomas’ Church in Wednesfield together with veterans from the Royal British Legion and local councillors. The service honoured all those British service men and women who died in conflict and those who serve in our armed forces today.

Emma said “On Remembrance Sunday we give thanks to those who have made the ultimate sacrifice for our country and the brave men and women who serve in our armed forces today. This year’s commemorations are particularly poignant because they mark the 100th anniversary of the Battle of Passchendaele, in which many men from Wolverhampton fought and lost their lives.

“The service and the march to St Thomas’ were a fitting and moving tribute to our veterans, our current servicemen and women, and their families. I was particularly pleased to see so many local residents attending the service.”
