Emma Reynolds, Member of Parliament for Wolverhampton North East, has praised the work of Mark Robertson, who has stood down as Principal of City of Wolverhampton College. Mr Robertson was appointed Principal in May 2013. Since being appointed he has transformed the college taking it from an Ofsted rating of inadequate in 2012, to one of good to outstanding in 2014. The college is among the top 15% of colleges in the country for achievement rates for 16 to 18-year-olds.

Emma said “Mark has done a fantastic job leading City of Wolverhampton College, turning it around, and making it one of the best colleges in the country. He has built strong links with local businesses in order tailor the college’s courses to provide young people with the skills employers will need in the years and decades to come.”

“Mark’s work has provided a strong foundation which the next Principal can build upon. I am sad to see him leave, but I wish him luck and every success in his new appointment. I also look forward to working with Mark’s successor, and helping them take the college from strength to strength.”
