Emma Reynolds, MP for Wolverhampton North East has been supporting a constituent to ensure a commemorative plague commemorating those who died in two World Wars isn’t lost. The plaque, which is housed in St Luke’s Church in Blakenhall was at risk when the church was recently sold to become an antiques emporium.

Emma said, “I was pleased to be able to assist my constituent. We must do all that we can to ensure these plaques are kept fur future generations. My 94 year-old granddad fought in the second world war and I am so proud that he played his part in saving us from fascism.

“I was pleased to be given assurances by the church’s administrators that the plaque and other historic items would be preserved.”
