Emma Reynolds, MP for Wolverhampton North East is encouraging people to consider becoming organ donors during Organ Donation Week 4-10 September 2017. During Organ Donation Week, NHS Blood and Transplant, hospitals, charities and supporters of organ donation are encouraging people across the UK to talk about organ donation with their families.

It is known that most people support organ donation but a family’s support is needed too, so that organ donation can go ahead.

Emma said, “Organ donation is a very personal decision but can also be a difficult topic for doctors and nurses to raise with loved ones and it’s vital that people speak to their family about their wishes if this is something they are considering to ensure their family are aware of their wishes.”
