Emma criticises government on cuts to AWM

Emma in the Chamber

Emma challenged the Business Secretary, Vince Cable, on the new Government's plans to make cuts to the budget of Advantage West Midlands.

Emma said in the House of Commons: "Advantage West Midlands brings an economic benefit to the regional economy of over £7 for every £1 spent. Does the Secretary of State understand that the cuts that his Government have announced will put jobs at risk in my constituency and critical projects such as the i54 business park?"

Her intervention was covered by BBC Midlands Today later that evening.
