Emma Reynolds, Labour MP for Wolverhampton North East, has attended the unveiling of a relocated plaque at the Civic Centre. The plaque commemorates workers at Goodyear who lost their lives in the Second World War. It was originally located on the Goodyear site.

The ceremony was also attended by some of the relatives of the Goodyear workers who had died as well as members of the Royal British Legion.

Emma said: “It was an honour to attend the ceremony at the Civic Centre with some of the relatives of those brave Goodyear workers who died during the Second World War. It was a very poignant ceremony to transfer the plaque from Goodyear to the Civic Centre. Thousands of people visit the Council every year and so it will be a fitting new home for the plaque that will allow people in Wolverhampton to pay their respects to the Goodyear employees who lost their lives.”
