Welcome to my website. On 6 May 2010, I was elected as the new MP for Wolverhampton North East. It is a great honour to be elected to represent my home town. I would like to thank everybody who supported me.

    Wolverhampton MP demands assurances from Government about future of School Investment ProgrammeEmma Reynolds pressed Ministers for a statement on the future of the highly successful, former Labour Government’s Building Schools for the Future programme (BSF). After Tuesday’s Budget, education spending could be slashed by 25%. The BSF programme – which is the biggest capital investment scheme for schools in a generation - has already seen hundreds of schools built and renovated across the country.     Emma condemns decision to shut down AWMEmma Reynolds MP this week criticised the Lib Dem-Tory Government’s decision to shut down Advantage West Midlands (AWM). The Regional Development Agency – recently judged the best in the country – was created by the Labour Government in order to bring in investment and help businesses create jobs across the region.     Emma urges the Government not to grant anonymity to rape defendantsEmma Reynolds MP urged the Government to drop its plan to grant anonymity for defendants in rape cases. Emma raised the issue with the Tory Justice Secretary Ken Clarke in the House, citing the case of black cab driver, John Worboys. When he was charged for sex attacks, more than 80 other women came forward as victims. Emma said ‘Granting anonymity to defendants in rape cases would risk violent criminals escaping justice.
